I needed to knit a hat for a last minute Christmas gift and by the description it seemed this one would go fast but it actually took a lot longer than I thought it would. I found that knitting with the several strands of thick yarn made it very difficult and my hands hurt a lot while making this hat! I don't think they could handle making it again! The hat is super warm and stretchy though so it was definitely worth making even though the knitting experience was not that great. The pattern is available here from The Running Yarn blog.
I have knitted some very crappy hats for my husband in the last year. He's been a good sport about it and claims they are amazing but I'm very critical of my work and I can assure you that they were not good. I finally made a hat that I am proud for him to wear! The joys of evolution! I think it came out fantastic and I have nothing but praise for this pattern. It's a really fun knit. I think I have knitted at least 4 hats from this pattern...it's definitely one of my go-to patterns if I need to whip up a quick beanie or whatevs. Hooray for the Rib-A-Roni!! It's available free for download here on Ravelry.
Merry Christmas Chad <3
